Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale – Tufthappy
1. General
By accessing our website and placing an order, you fully and unreservedly accept these Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale.
If you do not agree with these terms, or if you are not of legal age in your country of residence, please do not use our website.
2. Order Process
Once your image has been uploaded and the rug size selected, the price is automatically calculated and displayed for confirmation.
By confirming the order, you accept the total amount indicated and authorize us to use the submitted image exclusively for the production of your rug.
You will receive a confirmation email once your order has been validated.
3. Payment
All orders must be paid in full before production begins.
Manufacturing starts only after receipt and validation of payment.
Accepted payment methods: credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna (installment payments, when available), and any other method displayed at checkout.
4. Delivery
4.1 Processing and Delivery Times
Our products fall into two categories:
In-stock rugs:
These rugs are shipped within 1 to 3 business days after payment confirmation.
The total delivery time never exceeds 10 business days from the payment date, in compliance with current regulations.
Made-to-order rugs (custom or personalized):
These rugs are handmade in our workshop according to your chosen design and dimensions.
The average production time is 2 to 3 weeks, depending on design complexity and production volume.
Once production is complete, the rug is shipped within 48 hours via our partner carriers.
The total delivery time is generally between 3 and 4 weeks from the payment confirmation date.
4.2 Shipping Method
Orders are shipped through reliable carriers (Colissimo, Mondial Relay, DHL, or equivalents).
A tracking number will be provided by email as soon as your order is dispatched.
4.3 Shipping Fees
Applicable shipping fees are displayed before checkout.
Free shipping offers, when available, are clearly indicated on the website.
4.4 Delays and Tracking
We are not responsible for delivery delays caused by carriers or customs procedures, but we are committed to assisting you in tracking and resolving any delivery issues.

5. Customized Products & Returns
As each rug is made to order according to your specific instructions, returns, exchanges, or refunds are not accepted for reasons of personal preference or ordering errors.
However, in compliance with consumer protection laws and our payment partners (Stripe, PayPal, Klarna), returns and refunds are accepted in the following cases:
Verified manufacturing defect
Product damaged during transport (photo required within 48h of delivery)
Our error (wrong model or incorrect dimensions)
In such cases, return shipping costs are covered by us, and we will offer, depending on the situation:
A free replacement, or
A full refund.
6. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
6.1 General Principle (Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code)
For non-customized products, you have 14 days from receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal without giving any reason.
To exercise this right, contact us at contact.tufthappy@gmail.com with your order number and a clear statement of your decision to withdraw (you may use any written format or request our withdrawal form).
6.2 Exceptions – Customized Products (Article L221-28 3°)
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized.
→ Rugs made from your images, size choices, and customizations fall under this exception. For these items, withdrawal is not possible once production has begun (see cancellation policy below).
6.3 Conditions and Effects (for eligible products only)
Products must be returned within 14 days following notification of withdrawal, in their original condition, unused, complete, and properly packaged.
Unless the error is ours, return shipping costs remain your responsibility.
We will refund all payments received (excluding additional charges from non-standard delivery methods) within 14 days of your withdrawal notice, but we may withhold reimbursement until we receive the goods or proof of shipment.
Refunds are processed using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
7. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your order free of charge within 24 hours of placing it.
After this period, production begins and cancellation is no longer guaranteed (particularly for customized products as described in Article 6.2).
8. Intellectual Property
By submitting an image for rug production, you confirm that you hold all necessary rights to use it.
You authorize us to use this image solely for the purpose of creating the ordered rug.
All website content (texts, images, designs, logos) remains the exclusive property of Tufthappy or its partners. Any unauthorized reproduction is strictly prohibited.
9. Personal Data & Privacy
We respect your privacy.
All personal data collected is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the GDPR.
10. Promotions and Discounts
Specific conditions for each promotional offer (dates, percentages, limitations, or exclusions) are stated on our website or marketing materials.
By participating, you agree to these terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
Any dispute will be submitted to the competent French courts after an attempt at amicable resolution.
